Artemis Search Partners is currently seeking an Underwriting Assistant for one of its clients, a National Insurance Agency, based in Indianapolis. 

Position Title:  Underwriting Assistant 

Location:  Indianapolis, IN

Position Type:  Full time, permanent

Position Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Underwrite applications according to Company Underwriting guidelines.
  • Enter new and renewal application in the system and maintain accurate underwriting files.
  • Review claim reports assessing risk.
  • Process endorsements.
  • Prepare monthly reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Prepare quotes within underwriting authority.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Provide highest level of customer service and professionalism for customers
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years prior working experience in a Property and Casualty Agency, Company or Broker Experience Required.
  • Prior Commercial Lines Account Servicing experience required.
  • Any experience with Professional Liability is preferred.
  • An active Indiana property/casualty license or have the ability to get it quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products especially Word and Excel.
  • Excellent customer service skills including patience and a sense of humor.
  • Experience working independently and under time constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, as well as basic math skills.
